Regenerative Aqua Culture

Located in the Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ) below Thatcher's Rock in Torbay, Devon, England, Aqua Botanika is a 10-hectare Kelp farm.

In March 2023, we installed special marker buoys and cultivation infrastructure for growing a late-season of Sugar Kelp for testing purposes and as a technical prototype. As of autumn 2023, the farm will begin its annual planting season for harvest in spring 2024.

Aqua Botanika partners with diverse companies across the seaweed industry including -

Enabling alternatives to dry and frozen Kelp preservation through innovative packaging technologies.

Formulating advanced composition of seaweed extracts for organic plant nutrients and growth stimulants in hydroponics which focus on blossoming and sprouting.

Methane reduction in ruminants introduced through seaweed feed supplements.
